The avatar of fascism posed the century's greatest threat to democracy and redefined the meaning of evil forever.
Ferdinand Marcos
Marcos might not be one of the all-time killers but he is certainly one of the biggest thieves in the history of the planet. Estimates of his ill-gotten gains range from US$3 to US$35 billion. Some suggest that the true amount is over US$100 billion, perhaps even trillions of dollars.

| Perhaps the closest similarity between these two is that Thaksin wanted to magnify himself as The Great Leader, the Omnipotent, and The Economic Genius of Thailand. He was of course just a dangerous megalomaniac, like Hitler, and Thaksin was neither great, omnipotent or an economic genius. He was just a manipulator, a con artist out to scam the Kingdom of Thailand for personal gain. | posted by Ad 2006-05-10 22:12:12
